The list of the top 10 best-selling cars in India in October 2022 consists of models from Maruti, Hyundai & Tata. Below are top 10 best-selling cars in December 2022


1. Maruti Suzuki Baleno – 16,932 Units

Maruti Suzuki received the top rank in December sale with his Baleno model. Baleno received 1st rank in Top 10 best-selling cars in December 2022. The new generation Baleno, launched earlier this year and the car continues to be among the top five cars bought in India. Maruti Suzuki manage to sale 16,932 units of Baleno in December, around 17.11% higher than same month last year 14,458 units.


2. Maruti Suzuki Ertiga – 12,273 Units

The only three-row MPV in the list of top 10 cars sold last month is also from Maruti Suzuki. The new generation Ertiga, which also comes with a CNG version, 12,273 homes bought it last month. However, the waiting period for some of its variants, including the CNG version is high. This three-row MPV is most selling MPV and most loved MPV by Indian people. In last month, December 2022 Ertigaranked at second place in list. Ertiga managed 3.66% growth compared to last year December 11,840 Units.


3. Maruti Suzuki Swift – 12,061 Units

Third spot was secured by the Maruti Suzuki Swift in the sales charts in the month of December 2022 with a sale of 12,061 units. Maruti Suzuki Swift marked -22.99 per cent sale compared to December last year when it sold 16,661 units.

4. Tata Motors Nexon – 12,053 Units

This time in December Tata Motors achieved 4th rank with its best-seller Nexon SUV. Nexon is the top selling car from Tata Motors. Tata Motors manage to sold 12,053 units of the sub-compact SUV. As compared with same month last year Tata Motors Nexon register a down sale of -6.56%.


5. Maruti Suzuki Dzire – 11,997 Units

The Dzire sub-compact sedan remains an evergreen entry in the list of top 10 cars. This is known in market that compact sedan section is not doing well since compact SUV’s launched. But still Dzire is doing well. In December, Maruti Suzuki sold 11,997 units of the Dzire. Maruti Suzuki Dzire marked 12.83% sell compared to December last year when it sold 10,633 units.


6. Maruti Suzuki Brezza – 11,200 Units

Maruti Suzuki delivered 11,200 units of the Brezza last month compared to 9531 units in December. with 12.83% growth Brezza successfully secure its 6th position.



7. Tata Punch – 10,586 Units

Tata sold 10,586 units of the Punch SUV with 32.19% growth in sales compared to December last year. If Tata launch Punch with CNG it can be game changer and will definitely increase sale of car. In sale of year 2022, Tata Punch is second highest car seller from Tata.

8. Maruti Suzuki Eeco – 10,581 Units

Eeco is the model chosen people after Maruti Suzuki omni. Eeco may receives some updates and maybe could receives some price hike also. Eeco is now only passenger van available in India. In December, Maruti Suzuki sold 10,581 units of the Eeco and received the 8th number in top selling car.



9. Hyundai Creta – 10,205 Units

Hyundai’s sales continues to be driven by its SUVs mostly As their hatchback cars not doing well. Creta manage to sold 10,205 units in December 2022. The growth of 34.12% last year December 7,609 units.


10. Maruti Suzuki Wagon R – 10,181 Units

Wagon R hatchback is able to secure a 10th number. Maruti Suzuki Wagon R register 48.39% down sale but still it is 10th selling car in December 2022. Maruti Suzuki manage to sold 10,181 units of Wagon R.
