Tata Nexon EV is India's most popular and selling electric car. It is electric version of normal Nexon car. It is the first personal electric vehicle from the Tata. The price is between Rs. 15 lakh and Rs. 17 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Tata Nexon EV is also the first electric vehicle to use the new Ziptron powertrain technology.

Tata Nexon EV Variants:

The Tata Nexon EV is offered in three variants including XM, XZ Plus, and XZ Plus Lux. Also on offer are Dark edition trims Dark XZ+, and Dark XZ+ Lux .

Tata Nexon EV Battery, Motor and Range: 

The Nexon EV uses Tata’s Ziptron EV powertrain technology, It has a 30.2kWh High energy density Lithium ion battery pack with a claimed range of 312km. Nexon also gets Liquid cooled system. It gets an IP 67 waterproof battery pack. The electric motor has a performance rating of 129PS and 245Nm. Nexon gets Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor fitted. It reached 0-100 in just 9.9 seconds.

Tata Nexon EV warranty :

It gets an 8 Year or 1 60 000 km* (whichever is earlier) standard warranty on battery and on motor. Also Tata Nexon offers 3 Year or 1 25 000 km* (whichever is earlier) warranty on vehicle.

Tata Nexon EV Charging:

The EV can be charged from 0-80 percent in just 60 minutes using fast charger. Best part of Nexon is you can charge it anywhere using 15A plug and it will take only 8.5 hours to charge 10% to 90%.

Tata Nexon EV Exterior design:

The Tata Nexon EV gets projector headlamps, tri-arrow LED tail lights, LED DRLs, piano-black ORVMs, roof rails, 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, a shark fin antenna, and electric blue accents.

Tata Nexon EV Interior :

Tata Nexon EV gets features like electric sunroof, a 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also gets automatic climate control, a height-adjustable driver seat and a flat-bottom steering wheel.

Tata Nexon EV Safety :

Tata Nexon normal version is 5 start rated car and Nexon EV is also based on that platform. Safety features on board include cornering stability control, dual front airbags, and ISOFIX child seat anchors.

Tata Nexon EV Rivals :

Tata Nexon EV have no direct competition in Indian electric car market. But in terms of price, it rivals the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Hector, and the Tata Harrier from its own car maker. Also in future Mahindra is going to launch XUV300 EV.
