Hello Friends, road-trip is most awaited and cool thing, that every car drive lover loves and want to enjoy it. To enjoy car comfort most of car owner event they don’t like to drive car for long distance they prefer to go with their car only. They drive without checking the vehicle and get stuck due to some minor issues. To avoid that pain and make your road trip enjoyable follow below checklist and enjoy your long drive with your car.


1. Keep Your car Insurance up to date

have bought car insurance? Are your insurance papers all in order? According to the Indian traffic law, all vehicle owners should compulsorily buy at least a third party cover. This may warry upon your country. This will protect you financially and legally in the event of third party injury/ demise or property damage or both. You can opt to or a comprehensive cover.


2. Keep all car documents with you

Keep all necessary car related document with you. Might you needed that while long drive trip. In most of cities, on highways toll plaza and state border Police create their check post. They will check number of passenger seated inside car and car capacity, also they check your car insurance, PUC, car document etc. So get ready for it.

3. Battery

No one likes their vehicle to stop mid-way during the road-trip. Either it is a bike or a car, make sure to check the battery status before leaving the house. Checking the expiry date of your car’s battery is an important task. Besides, be sure that the electrical charging system of the battery is functioning properly. Sometimes if the starter sounds sluggish in the car, it can be due to a corroding or dying battery. If its corrosion, clean the white chalky stuff outside and then proceed with driving. Battery is most important component in car. Also check your car instrument cluster for any sign related to battery.


4. Tires and Rims

Tires are the only thing that contacts with the ground in your vehicle. As a result, they play a very important role. A worn-out tyre is a life-threatening hazard.  Braking also is affected a lot by tyre and Rim quality. Air pressure is also very important. A correct air pressure will give your best mileage and equally good performance with good stability. Also check the tyre thread quality for better grip. While checking the tyres, two things are needed to be checked – the tyres’ pressure and tread. Wheel Alignment should also be checked if possible.


5. Check the levels of other fluids

Fluids are like lifeblood for the proper functioning of a car. Check fluids for the radiator, brakes, windshield, transmission, power steering and others. Lubrication fluids played most role in long drive and make your road-trip hazard free. Your car functions steadily if you lubricate all these parts.

6. Brake

To control your vehicle you need good quality brakes that will ensure your full control upon your vehicle. Good brakes can save your family and time as well as others life even during accidents also. Brake oil is also need to check before any road-trip.


7. Check Wipers and Lights

Sometime we check all big things that we assume but forget to check small things. Wiper, car light are also very important during long road trip. The condition of wipers and lights need to ensure proper visibility during driving especially late and early hours. Replace the old, or worn-out wiper blades if it leaves streaks so that you can see clearly while there is rainfall, fog, precipitation, etc. Also, analyze the exterior and interior lighting accessories and change if there is any requirement.
