After getting hug success with Nexon EV Tata Motor launched one more electric car that is Tigor EV. Yes, It is version of normal Tigor with electric. Tigor EV is more cheaper than Nexon EV with almost same drive range. Also Tigor gets 4 safety start rating from NCAP. Now Tata is trying to catch all Indian electric car market. Tata launched back to back 2 EV cars in Indian car market with good drive range.

Now no need to spend 20 lakh or more to own electric car. If you want to get hands on one electric car or want to own electric car you can go with Tata’s electric car. That will offer you good enough drive range with life saving safety features. Now Tata Tigor EV is India’s Most affordable electric four-wheeler car.

Exterior 

There’s a redesigned front bumper. Other than these design updates, the matte aqua-color is used around the grille, fog lamps and wheels that stand out from non electric version. Here also Tata used the chrome; an underline for the window line, a splash on the door handle and boot Tata used chrome. Also Tata Tigor EV gets the halogen projector headlamps, daytime running lamps, and clear lens tail lamps. The Tigor EV gets tiny 14-inch steel wheels that try their best to mimic alloy wheels.

Interior

Get step inside the cabin of the Tata Tigor EV, you will find some more places where blue accents used on the car dashboard. They underline the AC vents with blue color. Also car maker used Another differentiator comes in the form of blue tri-arrow motifs on the fabric upholstery. over those changes the cabin remains identical to the standard Tigor.

Getting into a comfortable driving position a height-adjustable driver’s seat and tilt-adjust for the steering helps lot more. The only real cutback is in the boot space. Where the standard Tigor has 419-litres of space in boot where as the Tigor EV has only 316 litres boot space.

Features and Technology

The Tata Tigor EV gets all features from non EV version of the car. The top-spec XZ+ variant gets features like keyless entry, push-button start, and automatic climate control.

Tata is also offering mobile app for Tigor EV. It support connected car technology that can be accessed via the ‘Z Connect’ app. This mobile app allow to access car data (such as car range) and start the air-conditioning using mobile app.  

Tata Tigor EV also get a 7-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. This is paired with a stellar 8-speaker Harman sound system. The screen also doubles up as a display for the reverse camera.

Safety

The Tigor EV gets dual airbags, ABS with EBD, and corner stability control as standard. It also is the first electric vehicle to be crash-tested by the Global NCAP, where it secured 4 stars for both adult and child occupant safety. Its India’s first electric and in first segment car that is tested and found 4 safety stars.

Performance

Tata Tigor EV gets a 26kWh battery pack which is powering the car. The new ‘Ziptron’ powertrain means there’s a permanent synchronous motor (75PS/170Nm) powering the wheels and not an old school 3-phase AC induction motor that does duty on the Xpres-T (Tigor EV for the taxi market).  Tata Tigor EV offers 2 drive mode.

As is the case with most modern EVs, you can top up 80% of car battery within one hour with a 25kW DC fast charger same thing you will get in Tigor EV also. In coming days you will get that charging stations most cities and on national highways, selected Tata dealerships, and even some petrol/diesel pumps also will offer this.

To charge the Tigor EV with a regular 15A socket at home, will take 10 hours from 0-100%. Tata Tigor EV get an 8 year or 1,60,000 km warranty on its battery.

Tigor EV will reach 0-60 kmph in just 5.7 seconds. The acceleration of car will constant till it reaches its 120kmph top speed. while driving you need to remember this thing, driver need to more carful because car does not have any nose.
