The Tata Nexon, a flagship model in the company’s portfolio, has consistently maintained its position as a top seller for several months. To stay ahead of the competition, Tata Motors is gearing up to introduce the highly anticipated Tata Nexon facelift. Set to enter production in July 2023, with sales commencing from August, this refreshed version promises to elevate the driving experience to new heights. One of the most striking updates is the introduction of a captivating new steering wheel design that will leave drivers in awe.
A Fresh Design Language Inspired by the Curvv Concept
Drawing inspiration from the futuristic Curvv concept showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo in January, the Tata Nexon facelift will incorporate several striking design elements. The exterior enhancements will feature a revamped front fascia, characterized by split headlamps with connected LED DRLs, two imposing grills, and a redesigned air dam. The front and rear bumpers will undergo subtle changes, complemented by the introduction of new alloy wheels. Notable rear updates include LED tail lamps with turn indicators, a rear wiper, roof rails, and a shark fin antenna.
A Captivating Interior with Next-Level Comfort and Connectivity
Stepping inside the Tata Nexon facelift, one is greeted by an exquisite cabin that exudes sophistication. The dual-tone color scheme, accentuated by purple seats and a black finished dashboard and central console, creates an ambiance of elegance. The centerpiece of the interior is the newly designed two-spoke, flat-bottom steering wheel, adorned with an integrated backlit Tata logo. This stunning steering wheel, inspired by the cutting-edge Curvv concept, sets the stage for an exceptional driving experience.
Keeping pace with the latest technological advancements, Tata Motors has equipped the Nexon facelift with a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Additionally, it boasts a new 7-inch digital instrument cluster, following a similar design language as seen in the Harrier and Safari facelift models.
Unmatched Features and Advanced Safety Technology
The Nexon facelift goes above and beyond in terms of features and safety technology. The central console has been reimagined, incorporating a touch panel and toggle switches for the HVAC control, sunroof, built-in air purifier, and a 360-degree camera. Ventilated seats, a sought-after luxury, might also find their way into this new iteration. In a groundbreaking move, Tata Motors is likely to introduce Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), making the Nexon facelift the first model in its segment to offer this cutting-edge safety feature.
Unleashing Powerful Performance
Under the hood, the Tata Nexon facelift will house an upgraded powertrain lineup, promising exhilarating performance on every drive. The highlight is the new 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine, a marvel previewed on the Curvv concept earlier this year. Boasting an impressive power output of 125 horsepower and a torque of 225 Nm, this engine surpasses the capabilities of the current powertrain. In addition to the turbo-petrol variant, a 1.5-liter diesel engine will also be available, delivering 115 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque. Both engine options will offer a choice between a 6-speed DCT and a 6-speed manual transmission, allowing drivers to tailor their driving experience according to their preferences.
The Ultimate Contender in the Subcompact SUV Arena
