The Renault Duster has been a popular SUV in India, and many car enthusiasts are eagerly waiting for its comeback. With the increasing demand for fuel-efficient SUVs, Renault might bring a strong hybrid variant to the market. But what can we expect from the new Renault Duster hybrid? Let’s find out! 🚙⚡

Bold & Rugged Design

The new Duster retains its classic SUV charm but comes with a modern twist. The front fascia gets rugged bumpers, a new grille, and pearl-shaped LED headlamps. It also features a sculpted bonnet for a tougher look. The side profile has blacked-out elements, enhancing its rugged appeal, while the rear sports triangular LED tail lamps and a chrome-accented bumper.

Feature-Packed Interior

Step inside the new Duster, and you’ll see a rugged yet practical cabin. The dashboard design is upright and functional, much like lifestyle SUVs. Some key interior highlights include: ✅ Floating touchscreen infotainment systemDuster branding on the dashboardRectangular AC ventsMultiple phone charging portsHVAC controls for easy access

For the Indian market, Renault could add premium features like a sunroof, ventilated seats, ambient lighting, a digital instrument cluster, and a larger touchscreen infotainment system. This would help the Duster compete with top SUVs like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Tata Harrier.

New Renault Duster Hybrid – Engine & Performance

Renault has already stated its plans to introduce hybrid cars in India. The new-gen Duster could be the first Renault SUV in India to feature a strong hybrid powertrain. Internationally, the Duster hybrid gets a 1.2-litre plug-in hybrid engine that could set new standards for fuel efficiency.

Other possible engine options for India:

  • 1.0-litre turbo petrol (fuel-efficient and cost-effective)
  • 1.3-litre turbo petrol (more powerful and performance-focused)

Transmission options could include both manual and automatic gearboxes, giving buyers more choices.

New Renault Duster Hybrid – India Launch & Pricing

Renault has already launched the new Duster in Turkey, and it will soon arrive in European markets. In India, the launch is expected in the second half of 2025. However, the Indian version might be slightly different from the global model.

Expected Price in India

₹12.50 lakh to ₹22.75 lakh (on-road, Mumbai)

If Renault localizes hybrid technology and the government reduces taxes on hybrids, the Duster hybrid could be a game-changer in the Indian SUV segment.
