Mahindra & Mahindra expands its Bolero legacy with the launch of the much-awaited Bolero Neo Plus, a 9-seater SUV built for families and fleet owners seeking a robust and comfortable ride.
Leveraging Bolero’s Strengths:
The Bolero Neo Plus takes the core design and rugged reputation of the existing Bolero Neo and stretches it to accommodate a larger audience. Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO of Mahindra’s Automotive Sector, highlights the vehicle’s focus on “durability, advanced features, and superior comfort.”
Spaciousness Takes Center Stage:
Standing at 4,400 mm long, the Bolero Neo Plus offers ample space for up to nine passengers, including the driver. The P4 variant serves as the entry-level option, while the P10 caters to those seeking a more premium experience. Both variants prioritize easy entry and exit for third-row passengers, ensuring a comfortable journey for everyone.
Design Cues and Practical Touches:
The exterior retains the boxy design and upright stance of the Bolero Neo, accentuated by a muscular bumper. Stylish headlamps, fog lamps, 16-inch alloy wheels, side and rear foot steps add a touch of modern flair without compromising on practicality.
Interior Comfort and Convenience:
The higher-end P10 variant boasts premium Italian interiors featuring a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth, USB, and Aux connectivity. Convenience features like an anti-glare IRVM, electrically adjustable ORVMs, and a height-adjustable driver’s seat further enhance the driving experience. Power windows on all four doors, armrests, and generous boot space make every ride comfortable and functional.
Safety Features You Can Trust:
The Bolero Neo Plus prioritizes passenger safety with features like ABS with EBD, dual airbags, ISOFIX child seat mounts, an engine immobilizer, and automatic door locks.
Powertrain Built for Performance:
Unlike the Bolero Neo, the Neo Plus is powered by a more muscular 2.2-liter turbocharged mHawk diesel engine that generates 120 PS and 280 Nm of peak torque. This engine is mated to a manual gearbox, offering a balance of power and efficiency.
A Look Ahead: More From Mahindra in 2024
The Bolero Neo Plus marks Mahindra’s first launch of 2024, and the year promises to be exciting for Mahindra fans. The facelifted XUV300, renamed the XUV3XO, is slated for launch on April 29th, and a 5-door version of the popular Mahindra Thar is also expected to hit the market later this year.
