Vietnamese electric carmaker VinFast is all set to enter the Indian EV market, and things are moving fast! After showcasing its lineup at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, the brand has been making headlines. But the big news? VinFast will start production in India within the next three months! 🇮🇳🔋
VinFast’s India Entry – What’s Happening?
VinFast has chosen Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, as the location for its first production plant in India. This will be the company’s fourth global manufacturing unit, and its construction is almost complete. ✅
The facility will initially produce 50,000 cars annually, with plans to ramp up to 1.5 lakh units per year! VinFast is also partnering with local suppliers to reduce manufacturing costs, making its cars more affordable for Indian buyers.
🚢 What’s more? Thanks to Thoothukudi’s superior port connectivity, exports of Made-in-India EVs will also be faster and more efficient!
VinFast Electric Cars for India – What to Expect?
VinFast is bringing its premium electric SUVs to India, starting with the VF7 e-SUV, followed by the VF6 and VF3. These cars will be made in both right-hand drive (RHD) for India and left-hand drive (LHD) for exports. 🌍
